A. You need a pair of Nordic Walking poles ( provided by ‘Vamos’), trainers and clothing suitable for the climate.

A. Nordic Walking trains and exercises 90% of your body muscles, the cardio vascular system and also burns calories in one exercise.

 

Q. How many calories are burned in an hour of Nordic Walking?

A. Nordic Walking burns up to 46% more calories than walking without poles or moderate jogging (Cooper Institute, 2004). Up to 450 calories per hour compared with 280 per hour walking without poles).

 

Q. Is there less impact to the joints than jogging or running?

A.  Nordic Walking has 30% less impact on your Knee, hip and foot joints than jogging.

 

Q. How often do I need to Nordic Walk to achieve  health benefits?

A. Burning 1,550 to 2,000 calories per week in addition to your daily life activities protects against many diseases. In summary Nordic walking for 3 hours per week will lead to better health.
